vs Steven Peterson
UFC FIGHT NIGHT 159
At first we have here Martin Bravo with 3 fights during the last 3 years and with UFC record 1-2. His last fight was with Alex Caceres in the first half of last year and he is getting back to the cage after 14 months. Since this event is in Mexico he will definetly have an advantage of support from his hometown. On the other side we will see Steven Peterson with even worse UFC record 1-3. He is a type of fighter who almost never steps backward and which goes to fights really hungrily.
Both of these fighters have very similar style. They really go forward and they can be dangerous with their striking. They´ve already shown us that they can put all their heart into fighting and they don´t give up easily. We could see that especially in their fight with Alex Caceres. Although that we believe that Martin Bravo will have an advantage in striking because he has more powerful punches and he is also more accurate. But on the other hand he has much weaker chin then Peterson. We could see that in his fight with Bendenay where he lost by knockout. But he was also knocked down very hardly by Alex Caceres. So he will need to be careful and not let Steven Peterson land a lot of punches. This can be his way how to win this fight.
Steven Peterson goes into strike exchanges very open and not so carefully and this can be his disadvantage in this fight. He will probably rely on hitting Martin on his legs and knock him out. But if he won´t be able to collect points in striking he will go for takedown because he is very dangerous also on the ground and he can put his opponents into trouble especially with his very often back mount.
There is a very good chance that this fight will end before the time limit probably by submission or TKO. There is a small chance that it will end by clear KO because neither of them have so big power that it would immediately knock someone out. This fight is also serious candidate for fight of the night because their chances to win are very equal and both of them know that they need to win if they want to stay in UFC.
